"Arrived in Halifax and walked to Chives from our hotel. You walk up a few stairs and enter hip cool space with framed mirrors and banquets. Staff is warm, friendly and informative. Started with sublime seafood chowder, burrata and the tart followed by lobster risotto. Finished with the triple layer ganache cake . Each dish prepared beautifully with the freshest ingredients. Highly recommend."

"I always get from Ronnies on main st she knew my order everytime i called even before i said anything and it was always amazing quality and even better quantity, anyone who answered the phone or even delivered are great people to encounter/deal with ...but I just recently moved to Cole harbour and the ronnies out here is totally night and day difference..the woman who answers the phone is totally ignorant and always rushing to get you off the phone asap which in turn always screws up the order, like when your still saying items past the first one she's like OK bye. Every order that I've gotten from there I've been told 45 minutes and so far the quickest one that came was 1 hour and 25 mins, with the rest being an hour and 45 which results in me having to put it in the oven to heat up as soon as it comes. And EVERY order from cole harbour has been wrong with the exception of the very first time, but the last 3 were the same item ordered, donair just meat and cheese no sause on it but on the side. Well all three times the sause came on it so I called in to get it made again cause the order was even written on the slip "no sause on it SOS" . So the last time this happened I called she said that it was my fault and she wasn't going to make a new one cause they made a new one the other 2 days I got them and that I was going to have to deal with it(I'm lactose intolerant and canned milk destroys me) but she said she was gonna call ronnie to see if she can remake it....35 minutes later she called back and said that Ronnie isn't even in Nova Scotia and won't be back for a few weeks, so she couldn't get an OK to make a new one "so stop wining and deal with it" (the whole time she's being super ignorant and repeating that it was MY fault that they put the sause on it even though it was written on the order saying SOS) ..so I hung up the phone and called the main st one right away "where Ronnie is always at" and I started telling him what went on and he just said "wait did they make it in a way that you weren't happy with?" I said yes and he said I could keep that one and a new one was already getting made up ...so a long story short if you want good food, great service,and big quantity for the price than call the main st one. if you want half quantity and crappy service and to be talked down to like your stupid for there wrong doings than call ronnies Cole harbour"

"Stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. After dining at Chives we wanted to try one of their other properties. What consistency of quality. We have great service and the menu was too hard to pick. I settled on the taco's (amazing). Just a great spot. Don't hesitate to eat here for any meal they are open. They also have a nice beer selection."
