"The food is fantastic, we really liked the 'arc en ciel' signature dish, especially the yummy duck....btw the strange name of this place kept us away for the last 8 years and we really regretted not having tried it before. unexpected to meet the jeunesse doree of hannover, you might also bump into ex chancellor schroeder, but the owners are nice and super friendly and don't treat you poorly (as we experienced at the 'insel') if you don't bring the (pseudo) vip glam factor. in brief: don't forget the reservation, otherwise you may need to choose take away :)."

"Vor vielen Jahren war ich mal im Tai Pai ... jetzt haben meine Frau und ich diesen alt eingesessenen Chinesen mal wieder besucht. Die Erinnerung an unseren vergangenen Besuch war durchweg positiv und wir würden auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht. Die Ente mit Erdnusssauce war vorzüglich, genau wie die scharfe, pikante Variante. Beide Portionen waren sehr üppig. Was man nicht schafft, wird fachgerecht eingepackt und man kann es mitnehmen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist einfach und nicht mit chinesischen Nippes überladen. Kommt mir persönlich entgegen. Mehrere Jahres werden wir diesmal nicht bis zu unserem nächsten Besuch warten. Klare Empfehlung!"

"Very friendly staff (but only one young man) the others were not so great, mostly grumpy..place is kinda small, we had to wait for free table during lunch (something after p.m Anyway, portions are super big (for women), we had soup or rolls during...lunch time in the price of the one main meal. Unfortunately taste is not so fantastic, I had better chop suey elsewhere. I had a feed, but it was not food orgasm"

"Der Salat ist soo geil, dass ich wieder komme, obwohl die Kellner regelmäßig Teile der Bestellung vergessen. Etwas verpeilt, aber immer freundlich. Neben den Standartgetränken gibt es auch einige Hausgemachte Eistees und Limos; die sind super. Die Nudeln fand ich nicht so geil. Rest kann ich nicht beurteilen. Ambiente ganz nett."
