"Surprised there weren’t many people here, were traveling from Colorado home to Pennsylvania and found this spot in gorgeous old town Hays. Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Was a little disappointed that the restaurant was out of ribs and only could offer 4 ribs at 7:30pm despite being open until 10pm but I got to try the beef burnt ends which ended up being great and a large portion size. They had also been out of milk so I was unable to try the root beer float beverage I had wanted, and instead went with a straight liquor cinnamon roll drink. Way too much alcohol for my taste buds but this place was definitely great and if I ever find myself in Hays again, I’ll be back in have some more."

"My stirring frit was delicious, but I would have liked to find more mushrooms in it, there were not many. The free honey cookies were also good. Husband had an open beef sandwich and potatoes, it wasn't quite well rounded until I gave him half of my vegetables. We were both full and satisfied."
