"This was our second visit to the hotel. This visit was less satisfactory. The room was scruffy, the lighting very dull. They don't have any plug sockets near the bed, so we were given an extension lead so I could use my cpap machine. We had asked for a room change but was told the rooms were all the same.The restaurant was closed so the only food available on site was in the bar. As we're were considering whether to place an order, we over heard someone being told several items were off the menu, then it would be at least an hour before the food arrived. This was only 7pm. We later heard this guest telling management that their food order arrived in dribs and drabs. The breakfast was also of a lesser standard than our previous experience. Next time we are looking to book in this area we will be looking elsewhere."

"We celebrated my friend’s birthday with Afternoon Tea in The Burgundy Restaurant. Liam greeted and seated us and was swiftly back to serve us when we were settled. What a pleasant and attentive young man he was throughout our visit. The Afternoon Tea was lovely especially the scones, the only criticism I could make is that the sandwich fillings weren’t the best we’ve had in our birthday teas."

"Went with family I had super special tandoori chicken sizzler, the peppers onion were burnt stuck to pan. All other meals were ok, so I didn't complain, but then I went to order desserts which are free with super specials on a Thursday, only to be told by the member of staff he should have told us they should have been ordered when we gave the food order."

"Very nice food, generous portions for the price. I order on uber eats but the delivery drivers are from the company and not uber drivers. This means I can confidently say that the staff here are very friendly and I have always had a jovial exchange when receiving my pizza. I would highly recommend and have never had a bad experience here, not even in busy rush hours or holidays such as Christmas eve. The quality has always been consistent and at a superior level, including temperature."

"I booked for my wife’s 80 birthday when we ordered bass fish we were told n/available I asked the manager why, he said none had been available before the pandemics. I asked him why is it on the menu . It just is, so why can’t you cross it off, he said if I phoned ahead he would have told me. He said what do you want me to do “phone the police”. I said his attitude was unbecoming for a manager. “So what” he said. What’s your name it’s Sam and your second name. I am not telling you. I asked a waitress what’s his second name, he shouted to her “don’t tell him. Then we left, my wife was very upset after. I told him it is my wife birthday today.” Tell her happy birthday “ sarcastically he said as we left."
