"I reviewed about a month ago and gave an amazing review since then I’ve been back twice. My experiences were good until today… I had to update my review because the food was not up to the normal standard. I hope it’s just a fluke but I won’t be back to find out. My Mac n cheese was bland. The street corn was just okay… felt like a bowl of Mayo. Finally, the sandwich. I asked for 3 sides of pickles and got one. I could’ve accepted all of the above, until I got to the sandwich. I ordered the chicken which was full of hard pieces. Then to top it off i found a small bone in my food. I think this is unexceptionable especially for a slow Monday night…I hope everyone else has a better experience."

"Best BBQ in Houston! I've lived down the street from this place for a while but recently had lunch there for the first time. Between myself and my friend, I can say every single dish was perfection! My friend is an extremely picky eater so I was expecting some criticism but there was none. She said the pulled pork was hands down the best she'd ever had. The ribs where phenomenal as well as every single side. For me, it's tough to find good potato salad at a BBQ place and yes, that was a 10 also. Even little things like the peppers/onions, etc were fresh. Going back again soon to try their brisket! I would say make sure to say hello to Tim, but he will greet you first. Walking into Pizzitola's is like walking into a restaurant you've been going to your entire life which is great to have in a large city where oftentimes people get lost in the shuffle."

"My friend is from the native lands and was very excited to share this comfort food with me. We drove over an hr to get there. There was a line so we assumed it was going to be good. They were out of EVERYTHING. The only options were fish or shrimp and very basic pork or beef. I am very unhappy with the experience. The person at the counter did not have anything to say about why they were out of the items not could they offer anything off the menu and we fumbled through five or six meal options and they were out of them all. Do not waste your time. The vegetables were obviously previously frozen...steamed and tasted like water. The beef was dry and very fatty. I would say get the pork and cabbage but I would not make a trip for it. Very dissatisfied."
