"We are in town for New Years and a Chiefs game. Bristol’s was recommended by our Airbnb host and it did not disappoint. We made reservations for 6 top and arrived 15 minutes early and we were seated promptly. Adam was our waiter and was amazing. He is the reason for a solid 5 stars. He made great recommendations for us, kept our drinks filled at all times and cleared our table quickly after we finished with a serving. We started with cauliflower, calamari and oysters for appetizers. All three were very good, but the cauliflower stole the show. It was so good. Secondly, 3 of us had Cesar salads and they were great. The dressing is made fresh daily and it makes all the difference. My husband ordered the bisque and he was nice enough to swap with me halfway through because I loved the bisque when I tried his. For entrees we had a variety of things off the menu. One member of our party had the Tuna and said it was exceptionally good. Another had the filet and crab cake and loved both. He commented on the crab cake being the best he has ever had. Another member had the KC strip and said the flavor was great, but the steak was on the tough side. Another member had the chicken, it was a large serving and was very flavorful and good. The potatoes were a standout on this dish. I had the sea bass and it was okay. I’ve had better, but it was still pretty good. I didn’t finish all of it. It was. Bite rubbery and I probably wouldn’t order it again if I went back. Our last member decided on the lobster Mac and cheese. It was good, but not a stand out. Lastly we had cream brûlée for dessert. We are a bit of hard judges when it comes to crème brûlée and we would give this a 7/10. It needed a bit more toasting on the top. Over all we had a great evening with great friends along with exceptional serves from Adam. We will definitely come back if ever in KC."

"I went to Kobe for dinner last night. I generally go here for sushi only. I 've found that I have a much better customer service experience when I sit at the sushi bar, rather than a booth or table in the main restaurant. The sushi chef, whose nametag says 'Bob Wasabi ' (how much do you love that), always has a great smile and is very attentive. He always wants to make sure you 're having a good time. I had the KC Roll (shrimp tempura with crab on top) and the Creamy California Roll, which has their own special hot sauce on top that adds a nice kick. We also had the edamame and steamed shrimp dumplings. Everything was great. The only thing that would make it better is if they had more than one street parking area...but you can 't have everything you want."

"Disappointed with the new chef and new menu! All items ala carte now, so your meal is in different dishes all over the table and not on one plate. Prices seem higher too. Food was just not impressive. Two people+ 20% tip $135.00--yikes! But I must say our waiter staff was awesome, attentive, and knowledgeable! FYI--As of today, the menu items and the chef's picture on the internet is the old chef and old menu."
