"Gasthof Dorfwirt is an excellent choice in Oberndorf for traditional Austrian/German cuisine. One step above the standard guest house departure, which I ate was pork medallions in a mushroom sauce with fresh sparrow noodles. The medallions were tasteful, generously cut and slightly cooked. The sparrows were almost more egg than flour and were a perfect match for a rich sauce and fresh mushrooms. The main dining room was of a traditional design, but everything was in a tasteful style. A small dining room welcomes a local hero and patriot in the movement of Tyrol to independence from Bavaria. It was obvious that this was a family restaurant, with the certificates that the cooking prowess of a now deceased grandma testify proudly to the walls While I went while heavy snow on the ground, but in better weather there is an outdoor beer garden overlooking the Kitzbuhel Alps. I wish I had met this restaurant first during my stay because it overlooked the others I tried!"

"Visited high-kitzbuhel for a afternoon drink with a family celebration. waited for old for a waiter and finally had to ask one to take our order, he said this would do if he had time we could not see red wine on the menu listed and so ordered two glasses blind da white wine in the region of 4 euro, we thought it would not be exorbitant wrong! After we have given ourselves a wrong order that the waiter refused to accept, his fault was that we enjoyed the breathtaking view from the terrace. our pleasure was short, however, when we were calculated for each glasses of red wine 9.50 euro. the waiter said it was kitzbuhel and the wee was excellent (it was best moderate). we paid the bill and left disappointed and determined not to return."

"Had a welcome break for a coffee at the Melkalm in the midst of our snowshoeing session. It was nice to get the opportunity to venture to a Hütte that would normally be out of bounds to us non-skiers in the winter snow, and lovely to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy our coffee while taking in the gorgeous scenery. Service was very friendly and efficient....wish we could've sampled some of the local cuisine, however we only had time for a coffee!"

"We met Stefano and his wife Gabbi in an evening at a local bar and met a conversation. When learning that Stefano ran an Italian restaurant, I said that I fought with the local Italian restaurants, because everything she served was pizza and pasta and, as I need gluten-free food, I couldn't eat in them. Stefano was quick to offer to cook me a gluten-free meal, told me that he could remember a few days to buy gluten-free pasta, or if I prefer to order a risotto if this was not on the menu, but since all foods are freshly cooked there, it was no problem to make me what I wanted. We accepted his offer and agreed to come to a meal a few days later. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but Stefano reserved a beautiful window table for us. The food was wonderful to start Mozzarella Caprese, followed by a delicious seafood risotto, boiled for perfection, all accompanied by a very beautiful bottle of Merlot. Stefano and his staff are extremely friendly and provide attentive and professional service. The restaurant itself is cozy and welcoming for a casual dinner or a more romantic opportunity. It was worth our second visit a few days later and we will return on our next trip to Tyrol"
