"Note that it is usually necessary to book your seat as they need time to prepare the dishes they say. I stood up without a booking, but they didn't let me sit and wait 45 minutes (I had my laptop with me to work) at one of the smaller, empty tables that seemed strange and unwilling. However, the bowl was worth waiting because it was thick and more like 'nice cream', which is exactly the way I like my smoothie bowls personally. Could have done with a little more crunch (can have more granola, seeds and nuts etc), but overall it was the best bowl I had in a while and I am excited to go back and try their other flavors. I will book next time! The latte was beautiful too. Updated by previous rating on 2020-03-01"

"Prices are ok, pad thai was delicious. Milking a quick snack approx. Dislikes plastic: plates, disposable cups. Plus, the waiter just holding his hands on top carried a burger. It was unpleasant to eat it afterwards. I understand that this is Asia and here it’s better not to think about what’s going on in the kitchen, but still. We had homemade Shakshuka and falafel-hummus pita with chips, both were great. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff were attentive. They even made us a shake that wasn’t on the menu banana peanut butter , the iced Americano was tasty as well! The food was reasonably priced too. Would recommend visiting near for brunch while visiting Koh Phangan."

"I stayed at the Sanctuary for a day, and ate regularly at the restaurant. Despite the fact that they advertise themselves as a Vegetarian and seafood restaurant I had mixed experiences in getting vegan food. Some breakfast and desert options are marked vegan on the menu. I had a nice mixed grain porridge just before leaving, for example. Main courses, though, are not marked. One senior member of staff was very understanding and helpful she stood with the chef during cooking to make sure no mistakes were made. At the other end of the scale, another staff member abruptly ended a conversation by saying that they could not help me and maybe I should have a salad. On another positive note, I left my laptop sleeve and the staff very kindly posted it on. When they are helpful, they are very helpful. The food, once I got it, was good. I had a curry and some snacks. The juices were fantastic. But I was in an expensive (for Thailand) holistic detox resort which advertised a vegetarian restaurant, and had not expected it to sometimes require, say, the patience of an omnivorous restaurant."
