"We were visiting Lagos for the first time and had a delicious lunch. It was the best food I ate on our Portugal vacation. The manager and his team are so welcoming and friendly that we came again the next day for dinner. Highly recommend!"

"Last ate here in 2016 and had an embarrassing time when we paid bill in that we were told they did not accept cards despite no prominent sign. It was hidden on an opened door. Move on 7 years, through Covid, when we were all encouraged not to handle cash and this restaurant’s machine is still broke!!!"

"Saw this restaurant from the main road in passing. So I did a quick internet search and called to make a booking for dinner. My partner and I were greeted by friendly staff who seated us next to the window where we had a lovely view of the sea and the mountains. The restaurant itself was surprisingly modern as it looks a bit tired from the outside. It was clean, comfortable and looks nice inside. It would suit families and couples looking for a romantic meal i would say. We hadn't had tapas for a while and asked the waitress for their advice. She happily explained what she recommended and the fact we could always order more if we were still hungry. We followed her advice and had 6 dishes between us. We also had bread and olives. The food was delicious and the 6 dishes was more than enough. We still made room for dessert of course! We had a lovely time and enjoyed our experience at O Marafado. If we return to Portugal next year we definately intend to visit again. All in all I would recommend this restaurant. Get a taxi so you don't have to flip a coin for the designated driver!"
