"We stayed at Villa Doris Apartments in Praia da Dona Ana and instead of going back to the city, we decided to stay “local” for dinner. Had a few options nearby and chose the Onda Norte on TripAdvisor reviews really. I'm glad we did it when the food was really great! We had the Portuguese steak and the Ribs and both meals were excellent. The staff was really friendly, we were offered a free port to finish the night and total bill was about 40 € that our beer and Sangria with dinner. Great value we think as we have probably paid almost €80 for similar, though at more chic locations. If you are staying close to Dona Ana or even in the city, we recommend the Onda Norte for a delicious, price-quality meal."

"We have turned up here because we had a booking and it was recommended in the lonely planet. After we had put ourselves on the waitress, the menu came to the wee side, no mention of the house wine, and when I saw that she stopped my shoulder. no mention of the specialties on a board that we could not see from our table. we chose the thunfish that came with an salat and terrible French fries. Although I was annoyed, I noticed that all the food came with the same, I don't think it was restaurant quality eating and had a caffe feeling. I told the owner/man responsible how I felt about my experience and didn't get much answer, apart from the fact that the waitress asked why I was unhappy, we just left. as by the cash only that is displayed by a sign in the restaurant, not on the website, double irritating as I had to go out and get some money."

"Not the best pizza due to a lot of oil and got heartburn afterwards, but at least it is very tasty and for a godd price. You can build your own pizze from their ingredients. They work until late evening so if you come back late from beach or excursion it could be good option."
