"Unfortunately, chez hortense has become a business of just turning tables every minutes. They dont care about the customers and whether or not you want to enjoy a relaxing time with the appetizers and the food. The waiters only have one thing in mind,...to serve you as quickly as possible, so you can let the table free rapidly. As we arrived to the table, before I was even able to sit down, the owner came to tell us the specials, and of course we did not pay attention. We asked for a couple drinks for the appetizers, and within minutes, we were asked what we wanted to order times, not able to even finish my beer. Finally, a waiter came and incredibly told us, ok now it is time for you to order. We ordered, ate quickly, and at the end, we told the waiter that this is not the way to manage a client, his respond was pretty much: it is what it is. We are always full and we cant have people sitting at a table for hours. His comment says it all. There are other good options and Cap Ferret. If you want to be treated as a number, go to Chez Hortense. If you want to be treated as a customer, definately go somewhere else. I would recommend avoiding at all costs. JLT"
