"Hotel Mercure is just 5 min walk from the station Gare de Strasbourg, can't be any more convenient; thus, it's within 10min walk to the nearest spots ie Petite France (5min), and the Cathedral "Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg" (10min).The design of hotel is very modern an chic, it's also neat and clean. We were arranged to stay on 4th floor. The only negative side is the lower ceiling due to the roof top. A bit pressurised though not a major issue. We had 2 backpacks so the room was considered spacious; however, it would be difficult for those with huge luggages. I particularly like the lobby area. There are Nespresso coffee machine where guests can enjoy free coffee with self serve, with another tea machine. You won't be disappointed if picking hotels from Mercure group."

"We stayed @ the Holiday Inn Express walking distance from this restaurant.A couple of more expensive restaurants were advised but on the last night we decided to give this one a go.Bright fresh pastel colours the place looked brand new inside.A lovely "fresh buffet style" of meats salads & starters plus a comprehensive dessert buffet selection.One can order any combination of courses or just one....mains were a la carte with a limited but very good selection to choose from.What can one say....just lovely wholesome food.I had a main of steak tartare [too much to finish] & dessert She had salad bar & duck.All up about 45€ including 2 drinks each. That is very good value in France.The place was spotless. Especially noteable was not having the usual French odour toilets.Great attentive sevice & totally recommended."

"Meal taken during the Easter weave. meal sent very quickly, barely finished a dish, the suite arrived, suddenly finished and shipped in just over an hour. lack of freshness especially for the entrance, foie gras that had a little hot shot, bag salad, not fresh. correct dish, well cooked vegetables, however a little dry. correct dessert overall. but the price is a little high for the service, menu at 32€ per person out of drinks, with the aperitif and a little wine, we went out for a little over 90€, the meal was not worth it I find."

"Good tarts to carry. Very good restaurant. Delicious dish. But very average service. The waitresses don't know what they serve or forget the white wine glasses for the wine."

"Not only is the welcome non-existent but the service leaves something to be desired. We are served soup as a starter, we don't know what it is, it is placed right in front of us, we are forced to get up to look for a spoon (a bit like at home) because our requests remain ignored. We will not return to this restaurant, although with the previous owner we were never disappointed. The meal was still good Service: 1"
