"For the 1st time ever at this pub we were unhappy, the food is usually excellent but tonight my husband's burger was raw in places when our sweet arrived the ice cream was already part melted, it was as if the bowls had been left on the counter served when they remembered. I know the staff have no control over other clientele but our whole visit was spoilt by 2 unruly children, running around the tables in the garden emitting ear piercing screams, maybe a staff member could have asked the group to respect other diners. We really love the cross keys visit for celebrations as well as the occasional treat but today was very disappointing."

"Great service, nice staff, took my order via the phone for the collection. I asked to be ready for food at a certain time and it was. nice and clean eating was hot and good inexpensive. if I had to make a little complaining, the chips were a smidge, boiled for me, but I like mine well done. the tasty thio, could not mark it for it. fish was beautiful."

"Myself and my partner decided to go into Pret A Manger whilst shopping as our 6 month old needed his bottle. I selected a latte and crossaint for my partner and a tea for myself. Whilst being served I asked for a jug of hot water to heat my babies bottle of milk, to which I was told they don’t have anything big enough. Baffled I said ‘surely you do?’ To which a manager appeared and said it’s not possible to give me hot water due to health and safety. Now sorry but this is ridiculous just about every cafe/coffee shop/pub you go into will give you hot water to heat a babies bottle up. The manager’s attitude was downright rude and certainly not friendly. By this point I had already paid and had been given all of my order. The main reason we went in was to heat the bottle, so I told the manager keep the drinks I don’t want them and I want a refund, to which she did. Then we left and I was sure to make sure everybody else heard what had happened to which an elderly lady replied ‘how ridiculous, everywhere gives you hot water for a babies bottle’. Need I say more. We left and went to Costa and guess what, they were more than happy to provide us with hot water. As was Greggs later on in the day. I find it ridiculous that a company will not accommodate a family with a baby who are willing to spend money in their store. We will never use the company again after this so congrats you’ve lost 2 and hopefully many more customers for your pettiness and rude manager. I didn’t get a name but she had a European accent, probably between 40-50. Maybe you’ll consider the way you speak to customers after this glowing review"
