"It was many years ago since my wife and I last visited The Limeburners. It was about 10 years ago. Back then it was looking a bit tired, but what a transformation when we visited a few days ago. It’s been completely refurbished and very inviting. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. What is unique about this lovely country pub, is it specialises in good old English fish and chips! We ordered medium skate, cod, and chips, we didn’t have to wait too long before it was served piping hot to our table. Both cod and skate were delicious and fresh, and it was thoroughly enjoyable! It was all washed down with glass of ale and in my wife’s case a glass of Aspalls Cider. We shall most certainly be visiting the Limeburners again very soon, and it certainly won’t be after another 10 years!"

"We recently moved from Southend on Sea where we found it difficult to get decent fish and chips so never ate them for several years as was always disappointed. On the day we moved in we thought we would get fish and chips and we were not disappointed. Wonderful fish, very crispy batter and lovely chips along with portion sizes you will struggle to eat. We call and order ahead so we cut out the waiting."

"So impressed by this place. Food was amazing! Had a carvery that was big and really enjoyable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and brilliant with the children. They were well decorated for Halloween who loved the children!!!"
