"We visited after being recommended by a friend, we however will not be recommending. We attended with my 2 1/2 year old and we all left with a bitter taste in our mouths and this wasn’t just the coffee. The lack of food options for children was just the start of our disappointing visit. We ordered two paninis and a toasted sandwich with 2 drinks and 2 sides of chips, costing a total of over £25 which given the contents of the sandwiches we found appalling. The chilli chicken panini had 6 small peices of ready cooked watery rubbery chicken in, the bacon Brie and cranberry might of well just been a jam sandwich with one piece of bacon broken into bits and minimal amount of Brie. The side salads had lettuce which was old and brown at the edges, and over ripe /borderline rotten tomatoes on and a grate of carrot, the side portion of 15 chips was also very disappointing for the price we paid. My daughter appeared to enjoy the small amount of tuna toastie that she had however when we finnished hers off, the tuna had a chemical taste to it. Very unimpressed!!! We felt so uncomfortable during our visit as there hardly any other customers, we felt we couldn’t complain in person, we just ate our food and left. We will not be back and won’t be recommending to anyone else 0/10."

"Location wise, Camber Coffee is perfectly located in the centre of Newcastle and inside is both modern and spacious with a decent menu. I visited recently during my lunch hour and ordered the Buddha bowl £6.50) from the friendly staff. The dish for me was a little bland, although I did like the pineapple and vegan chicken bites. The teriyaki and Sriracha sauce were just too subtle. My biggest con was the atmosphere, as I was surrounded by keyboard warriors studying and felt like I was in a library. It just made it difficult to relax. Personal opinion though, you make your own mind up."

"I had a business meeting here. I ordered a caramel latte and plain croissant. Those I can't fault. The only fault I would give is one of the members of staff. She had already served the person in front of me when I arrived and...continued to talk to him. Both noticed me as I stood waiting to be served. I was completely ignored as they continued their conversation. I did the awkward foot shuffle, moved closer to the till and when this didn't work, I simply stared at the older blonde lady behind the till. Finally she noticed me but I think this was more because the first customers coffee was ready for him from the other barista. Hallelujah, I was served. I understand conversations with customers however it would be polite to say one moment whilst I serve this customer and then continue the conversation afterwards."

"As soon as I entered I was told they were full. I then waited outside to meet up with colleagues and noticed other people went in and were welcomed, and presumably found seats. Bizarre."

"Great coffee bar in the Grainger Market. Went there everyday for coffees on my week's trip. Do an excellent decaf expresso which is hard to tell difference from real thing. Nice helpful staff."
