"50 's Fun. My daughter and I stopped in at Flashback 's this evening for dinner. We received a prompt friendly welcome, were seated moments later and our friendly waitress had water to the table right away. She was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. My daughter asked about milkshakes ad was told she could have one in any flavor of ice cream the offered... something like 30 flavors. She asked if they should make a orange sherbet milkshake and they said like a cream-sicle?....of course with a little vanilla in it, too. It tasted wonderful and was presented equally well in an old-fashion milkshake glass topped with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry (and the rest in the metal milkshake cup. The onion rings were thick and crisp... perfect. The Teriyaki Burger and Fish 'n Chips hit the spot. The chowder that came with the meal was thick and well seasoned with lots of clams. We plaid a couple games in the arcade and dropped a couple quarters in the jukebox. Over all a fun experience. We 're thinking about stopping back in tomorrow for sundaes."

"The Anchor at Newport Brewing Company was a wonderful experience. First time, but not our last. Greeted very warmly by Amy, the owner. Seated promptly. Ice water on the table. Our server was Hope, who was very polite and accommodating. The Dungeness IPA was amazing. My wife loved the Catch of the Day Bowel. My tuna melt was amazing. Great service. Great Owner. Great Staff. Great libations and food. Great ambiance. We look forward to our next visit!"

"Fresh Clam Chowder We tried Clam Chowder at 3 locations in Newport. Mo's was just fine. Too thick and a floury taste. Not enough shells. Not enough to season #2. Chowder Bowl was much better than Mo's. Not as thick as Mo's with more shells and rich taste. #1. South Beach Fish Market was hands down our favorites. Rich taste, not super thick, enough potatoes and LOTS of shells. We will probably start a one month trip from McMinnville to get crabs and chowder."
