"Bathroom was disgusting. Walked in ..then slowly walked backwards out. The service was great, our waiter was super attentive, but the food wasn't great..it wasn't terrible, but the multi dishes I ate, none were a wow, this is good. Presentation was good, taste not that great"

"Let me start by saying the bowl itself was fantastic! Excellent portions of protein and delicious flavor. Being that I am gluten free, I was impressed with my wide array of sauce options. The Yuzu sauce was incredible. I also really loved that quinoa was an option. Of the poke places I have tried in the Newport News area, this definitely had the best flavor!What made the experience not so excellent was:1. The service was extremely slow. I understand that perhaps the staff is new, so I can understand. It still did however hamper the experience a bit. And I feel it could have been faster if the young man was more focused on the food preparation and less talking with his friend(s).2. Yikes, the price is expensive! Inflation has really come in with a vengeance. I did add an extra protein to one bowl, as well as avocado to both bowls (these are understandable up-charges) but $50 for two bowls was insane. Especially for a fast-casual experience.3. Lastly, it wasn’t until after my bowl was finished being made (and he was topping it off with avocado) that I realized the guy making my bowl had NO GLOVES on. ? I wish I had noticed sooner, but my bowl was already finished (and again it was very slow to be made). So I crossed my fingers and ate it in hopes that his hands were at least washed. I certainly hope this was an employee slip up and not their standard procedure. If I go back, I will be sure to pay extra close attention and request gloves BEFORE they touch the food going into my bowl."

"Fish, prime rib, and sweet tea were good. Other food was dried out. The waitress we had was attentive. After eating we took some of our scraps for our dog. They were just going to be thrown out so we didn't see anything wrong with it. I got hibachi carryout for my son so we left to go pay. The lady was extremely rude telling us she had to weigh our scraps with my son's food. We explained to her it was just scraps but she trated us like we were criminals saying we were"

"The place itself is beautiful inside. Simple, clean free space with beautiful design. Our waiter was nice, but forget. We didn't get our salad and our soup, but we didn't get a chance to ask him about her until just before we had dinner. After sitting, it was 30 minutes until the food arrived. We were happy, our meals came with soup and salad, but his forgetfulness did not help in our hunger. The Misssuppe was the best I had. But the taste for us today stopped. We enjoyed the classics today Philly roll, Garnelentempura and Lachstempura and a California roll. We regret this decision. Maybe something else would have more opportunity in the taste department. Everything was Bland, including the cucumber that is usually included our favorite crispy freshness in the sushi reels. It was at the top of evil. There were Romain Salat for every single sushi roll. It was pretty, somehow, and maybe they wanted it, but it changed the sushi overall. I pulled the salad out of a few pieces, but it just split the role, so I stopped it! All in all, the restaurant was clean and aesthetically appealing, but the food was not the amazing sushi we were looking for. We can return to taste the other chdcf specialties offered such as Thai, Japanese and Chinese cuisine. We are also interested in the Hibachi menu. Still looking for our new sushi spot!"

"Food was delicious!! Huge shrimp, tender steak in the Steak Shrimp Hibachi . The Crab Cheese Rangoon was some of the best I apos;ve had in our area. Order was accurate and delivered steaming hot and faster than promised. Will definitely order again!"
