"Been to Nice on holiday every year for the last 5 years - for the last two years I've stayed in the same apartment litterally accross the way from the entrance to Bliss Bar.The problem with Nice for me, is that unless you sit in a restaurant all night or go to Waynes Bar/ or A.N. Other archytypal Irish bar there isn't really anywhere to go for a drink after dinner.We stumbled into Bliss at about 10.30pm on a Tuesday night and left at 2am as they were closing - had a fabulous time. Reminds me of some of the bars I've been into in London and Madrid.There were a lot of staff who were incredibly friendly - we were given a drink on the house toward the end of the night. Everytime they saw us for the rest of the week they asked us if we were going for a drink tonight!Its an unusual kind of bar for Nice - they play chilled out house in a mix with a live DJ, have THE most amazing air conditioning system I've ever known and serve Smurf Haribos instead of peanuts. I was able to have a perfectly reasonable conversation without shouting over the music - the previous reviewer must be confused!I'd also like to add that Im 33, my other half is 50 and we felt totally comfortable in this bar. The crowd were a 20-something mix but we were made as welcome as anyone.I've read about the fierce competition from the Restaurants/Bars/Disco along Rue Abbaye who are known for trash-talking each others premises in a bid to do damage. But I'd urge you to give this place a try - clearly locally owned, these local businesses should be cherished and encouraged. God knows Nice Old Town needs something a little more funky like this.P.S - its not a restaurant, not sure why its part of the review."

"To have been on a trip to Ireland we find this very Irish side with the darts game in the cellar! Beers are good and the service is impeccable, I recommend the place, difficult to find it at first because a bit cached in an atypical alley, It's even better like that because we really feel favored"

"This place is very close to the university, I walked there for some lunch at around 3.00 PM+ They speak enough English!+ Had plate for the day (fish in white sauce), which was recommended by the waitress+ Food was very nice and more than enough! + Beer was cold enough+ Actually I was very happy that they served me lunch at that hour.+ Price is pretty reasonable.- location was bit out of the way."

"We ate twice here. the only disadvantage is that they have large TV screens on the terrace, so if the football is on them, it will actually see or at least hear. the food was excellent."
