"Had one of the best seafood meals and that is saying much from a New Englander. Absolutely loved the pecan crusted black drum!!!! The drinks were good too as well as the service and atmosphere. This place is a gem and a welcome change from the over priced garbage we got in Kitty Hawk/Killdevil. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"So this is a First Restaurant you see when that driving on the island it’s on your right hand side but I wasn’t impressed the shrimp is OK nothing to write home about the seafood here on the island was a huge disappointment. "Great location. Scenic views right on the harbor. Great service and really good food. Ordered the Shrimp Po'Boy which came out on a bun instead of a hoagie roll like I've only ever had, not sure if that's an Outer Banks thing but it was the best shrimp sandwich I've ever had."

"We came to ocracoke for the day and loved him at gaffers! service was friendly, fast and eating was great. we got the black garnels afteros that were huge and more than enough of a starter for my man, my son and me. they also tasted delicious! we have burger and pommes, chicken philly and chicken wings for our escape. we are full and happy; we will be back at the next visit on the island!"
