"Can't fault it really, it's not Nando's but a good cheaper alternative. The African ambience is spot-on with African artwork and Afrobeat music playing in the background. Friendly service and decent food. The 1-star reviews seem malicious and fake to me."

"We love this gorgeous restaurant and ate there yesterday, as it’s now open again following Lockdown. The food was delicious as usual. I had a beautifully cooked haddock fishcake with a tuna Niçoise salad to follow and the husband had bbq ribs that literally fell off the bone and a beef roast dinner with the best roast potatoes ever and a spring onion mash that was buttery and oniony and scrumptious. As I had been so good I had a strawberry Eton mess and the hubby had a chocolate brownie and cream. The food is all homemade and so so delicious. This was all washed down with a bottle of lovely Jack Rabbit Shiraz which is the house red and is a red that we love and can’t buy anywhere else. Karl and Sue who own the restaurant are such a lovely, friendly, welcoming couple and the young waiter who served us was a delight. The atmosphere is just right and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Get there as soon as you can you do not know what you are missing!!"

"We had booked a table for 4 to share with friends driving from Scotland en route to London. The warning signs were there when we arrived. Having booked for 7:30 we were told our table wouldn 't be ready for another 10 minutes. After waiting in the bar area for 20 minutes we enquired when our table would be ready. A table was hastily cleared and we were seated. 30 minutes later and we asked if we could place an order. To say that the waiter had a couldn 't care less attitude would be an understatement. Food order placed we waited for our meals to arrive. 30 minutes later and no food. We asked how much longer we would have to wait only to be told at least another 20 minutes. At this point we had had enough and walked out and went to Mcdonalds. At no point was there any apology or explanation of what was going on. There were two big parties in and they clearly took a while to be served but why allow us to book a table if you haven 't enough staff to cook and serve your customers. We will not be returning."
