"Food was of great quality and reasonably priced considering the high standard of the produce. Everything tasted so fresh and very well cooked. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful- even accommodating our dog, unusual for a pub/restaurant serving over and above the usual pub grub. Massive congratulations to all involved in the Tolcarne Inn."

"Booked this for my boyfriend’s 30th whilst we were visiting Cornwall. It was more expensive than where we would usually go, but probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had, we were both very impressed, and well worth the money. Staff were very friendly, and it had a lovely atmosphere. Lovely that we could walk out and pretty much straight onto the beach with a view of St Michael’s Mount. I would love to go back again when we next visit Cornwall."

"Mackerel sky is our favourite place to visit whilst in Newlyn. The food is out of this world! So fresh and full of flavour. My wife and I have visited a number of times now and the service provided is exceptional. Always super friendly and happy to provide recommendations. If there’s a queue to get in, don’t worry as you won’t be waiting too long. It’s definitely somewhere you won’t want to miss!"

"Stopped in here after a day at the Eden project. Service was friendly, quick and informative. Drinks orders were taken straight away and we were told about the day’s specials. Food was ordered shortly after and arrived in good time. Meals were absolutely fantastic- good portion size, tasty ingredients and delicious flavours. Will definitely be returning the next time we are in Penzance."

"Lovely meal here with my wife and inlaws. Just staying overnight in Penzance and needed a bite to eat. We were very pleased to have found this place. Great service, good size portions of amazing food, fresh fish and seafood, but leave space for dessert as you wont regret it! "I ought to say that I keep a bar and own a pub myself so looking round you could it was being run properly. Firstly it was v clean. No sticky table tops, windows gleamed and the glasses were clean, something you would expect but actually is quite rare nowadays. Secondly the staff were attentive and responsive to customers needs. Third the Food was not typical Pub Fayre. I had the belly pork and my wife had the home made steak and ale pie, both cooked and presented perfectly. Overall This pub just felt right. Full of character and atmosphere. Great service and excellent food."
