"We had a salad snack outside by the river and the lake because the weather was fantastic. The salad was ok, nothing special but nothing to criticise. Then we had a look inside the cafe which is very cosy. The cakes look fantastic."

"The restaurant Schwan in Preetz is the training restaurant of the Plön district youth ring, the guest remarks, if at all, only on the note in the menu. The guest rooms are bright, cozy and lovingly furnished. The swan is known for very good seasonal cuisine, good wines in stylish, brightly clean ambience. Experienced gastronomics support a young team of trainees. These receive an attractive training and are motivated by the daily feedback from the guests. I'll be kindly received at the door and pick a table at the window. The restaurant is well visited despite football match. The staff, which, as already mentioned, consists of young trainees, is very attentive, which is also at the “Patron” (trainees), which easily and almost imperceptibly directs his apprentices. The menu is small but fine, most ingredients come from the region and you will find something suitable for every palate. Vegetarians and children are also thought of. I choose from seasonal offers a carrot ginger soup with coconut milk and fresh coriander. As a main dish there are maish chicken breasts on thyme, with Provencal bean vegetables and rosemary. All dishes are freshly prepared and come tastefully dressed on the finely covered table. The waiting period is reasonable and not too long. The food meets my expectations in every way. The soup is fine creamy and tastefully an experience through the ginger. The delicious maish chicken breast comes perfectly roasted, juicy and finely seasoned on the vegetable bed. To sum up, it must be said that my visit was absolutely rewarded. I get a tasty fruity liqueur with the bill and pay close to €20, which is more than OK. My recommendation: 5 stars for superfine food and friendly, attentive service with very good price performance ratio. The next visit will not be long waiting for you."
