"Food was good, felt like this place has existed for some time, judging by the food. Enjoyed the sizzler and grilled seafood. Staff were friendly and helpful. No cigarette shops nearby so recommend bringing your own. Crème brulee was good too."

"We visited this place to try some French dishes. It's like being in a grand palace, a restaurant with various seating areas - outside, AC restaurant and bar. We should even visit the innovative washroom here, which has a washbasin that can be operated on foot. Interesting! :) <br>

They gave us a free starter - garlic bread with melted butter. Was okay. <br>
We wanted to try grilled calamari but it wasn't available. <br>
We ordered French onion soup - not sure if it is the authentic French soup but if so I would suggest not to try. It's just herbal water with sliced onions. The cheese crouton was moist and not tasty. <br>
Grilled Tiger Prawns with Lemon Caper Butter Sauce - There was a side of lemon risotto. The prawns were tasty, but the risotto was dry and tough. <br>
Tawa Fried Fish - It came with a side of mashed potatoes. Tasted hot and good. <br>

"The place might look posh, but the food is very affordable and tastes amazing! It's pocket-friendly when it comes to meals.<br/ .<br/ .<br/ I had their meal which included many items like butter milk, momos, parotta and chicken curry, paneer, 4 varieties of rice, and what not!<br/ The staff was amazing and I loved the ambience. You can go here with your group or even alone!"

"We had our traditional South Indian lunch with roti, dal, rice, carrot plant, pickle, curd and reispapad. it just tastes like eating at home. this restaurant is located in an old vintage house. the ground floor is for the gallery for handmade items such as cosmetics, wallets, clothing, which is also for sale. the entire facility is managed only by women. so the food has to be brought home."

"This place has a perfect rooftop ambience but the staff and waiters play a real spoilsport to it. Once u step foot in the rooftop restaurant you will be almost immediately ask whether you want food and alcohol both. If you are coming only for food they will strictly redirect you to 1st floor( Family dining). Then if you have successfully got into the rooftop restaurant they will be making you seat where you aren't comfortable to. Most of the waiters/staff are not at all courteous. They have basically very less idea about the food menu. So if you ask them about food basically the answer will be a yes or no, nothing further. We visited La Villa for lunch while on an impromptu weekend trip to Puducherry. Originally intending to dine at Villa Shanti, we were directed to La Villa by the Villa Shanti crew, since there was no table available at the latter.Set in a bungalow reminiscent of the old French homes in Puducherry, La Villa serves continental cuisine, and a good selection of seafood dishes. The outdoor seating is recommended, since the area is shaded by trees, and the fans are always running; however, on a particularly hot day, I'd recommend sitting inside the bungalow.<br>
