A great place for groups or just to sit alone and one of the few eateries to separate smoking and non-smoking areas correctly. Parking can be a bit of a hassle but usually works out ok."

"Quaint and friendly venue. Have been a few times for breakfast or lunch, including a large group where they catered well. Love the chickens in the gardens and it’s hard to believe it’s so close to busy roads and suburbia. They have a cosy fire in the winter months. I recommend this restaurant for something different. Can be tricky to locate as the sign is not too big on John Vorster. The food is rustic and well presented."
