"Absolutely delicious We ordered the salmon foccacia initially made with homemade foccacia as just a snack, then came back and ordered both sushi and okonomiyaki. Everything was so delicious! The art also makes it worth staying and eating in. The owners are lovely people. They choose not to charge extra for credit cards as it will slow down ordering. Family owned place."

"Peter the publican, invited us in with open arms . DOG friendly must be on a leash in the outside seating front and back of the Hotel . Plenty of seats out the back out of the wind with the sun shining on your back , nice and cosy . It was turned into a Tavern 12yrs ago . It's unbelievable on how it looks inside . 2 outside , 1 upstairs and a large seating available inside . The food was excellent and cooked to perfection , washed down with a cold beer. Like most pubs , hotels and taverns around the South Island they need bums on seats , so go to the Sprig and Fern you will enjoy it."
