"Being vegan and in the area, my husband and I go here frequently. The tofu poke bowl is amazing. They use sushi rice, so it’s nice and sticky…not just plain white rice. It’s not as “vegetable-y” as it sounds either. So many nice flavors and textures. The vegan gyro is also amazing. They have impossible patties, vegan cheese, and vegan aioli, so sometimes I craft a personalized burger for myself- they are always accommodating. The fries are vegan and delicious. On Thursdays during the summer, they do “Dinner on the Dock”…live bands, etc on their outdoor patio right on the Rock River. They’re also on DoorDash."

"Tried to speak with the owner on several occasions but every time I called in, they would take down my messages with no response or call back. You would think that if a customer has a question about their establishment that the owners would be more than happy to assist. Definitely turned me away from dining there."

"Oasis has that hole in the wall feel to it. The staff was very friendly the only down side i thought i would have was they did not have a kitchen...but then i realized you could order food from the restaurant across the street (uncle Nick's... same owner). It's a great place in Rockford to sample different craft beers you may never have had before."

"Checked out this local brewery in Rockford recently and had some good stuff while chilling. It's a small place but the beer has big taste. Urban Forest is located in a shopping center on Riverside, along with the popular pho place and whatever. Here it's mostly about beers. They also have fun things like trivia and live music. Beers are the main thing to get. It's really just a small taproom with not a whole lot of room. There's a patio that alleviates the crowds for summer. Menu isn't big but there's variety to choose from. Okay prices considering it's local and the quality. It's about $6 for a pint. That's about average for a small craft brewery like this. Best one we had was the Time Materials. This is an oatmeal stout that has chocolate notes and layers of coffee and roast. Maybe there's chips for $1, but you can also bring food. There's a few restaurants in the plaza to make an order. Have a great time with some beers. It's a great visit after eating in the same plaza or bringing something here. There's fun stuff like music and trivia."

"It's a very small space and features fairly basic tables and chairs...but there is a fire place and a huge selection of beers on tap. The staff knows about beer too so they can provide guidance to help you find beers you might like and don't know about. If you like a variety of good beers and want a simple place to enjoy some drinks with friends this is a go to joint in downtown. Not quite a pub feel but gives you some of the same at a much lower price point, that's a win in my mind."
