"I really loved this pub. great little discovery. great eating, loved the fact that this pub had a juke box, pool table and darts board. really great for my oldest young, the youngest loved freedom. thanks to the young boys who squeeze us in. filz so welcome, it was great to meet locals and let the dog meet. "Decent brewery tap serves decent beer brewed in front of location. camping is very simple, no light or hot water in the toilet block, but this is reflected in the price. there did not eat because the vegetarian selection is very limited, but others seemed to enjoy their eating. "Went for this Easter weekend. What a fabulous place. The staff are wonderful.. extremely friendly. The food is amazing! Delicious!each meal we all had we enjoyed thoroughly. The rooms are lovely with brilliant power showers. All in all a lovely little pub. Cosy and welcoming. Will definitely be recommending and revisiting soon x"

"Stay in shire is close. she was looking for a place with Sunday dinner on google. this place looked good, so there was a way. adult, free parking, friendly staff. table next to fire log. unfortunately no truthahn or bark, only pork. (not a big fan of pork) but that was the best pig I've ever had with crisp and big yorkshire pudding. To be honest, the food and the service was on site. Many thanks for a nice lunch to add to our beautiful weekend in shire stays."

"We visited with friends, good menu and excellent specialties, we had venison with haggis and heavy fish on parma ham, both were beautiful. also excellent pudding menu, crumb with custard, lemon posset and sticky toffee pudding. everything was absolutely delicious, great menu, fresh...Great good with the drive for a meal"
