"Le Café de l'Hotel de Ville is opposite the City Hall of Provence, on the corner of a small square with the Corso Victor Hugo. It is a beautiful place, and despite being in front of the most important administrative building in the city, there is not so much traffic or vayvenes. You can enjoy your summer terrace, there is a covered part to give you shade. I would have thought that in a city center, where you are right next to the town hall, the clientele would be more people passing by, and I was surprised to see that there are people coming every morning to read the press with their coffee in this place. They also serve half-day food, Provencal and French dishes, such as croque monsieur, meat cake, lamb ribs with rosemary, a variety of sandwiches with baguette, ham, pate. ..."

"The floor was sticky...makes you wonder how they clean their kitchen! Staff was clueless, and quite frankly rude and lazy. It's a chain, so the food is up to the chain's standards. Waited 15 minutes to give order, 45 minutes for main course...only after I told the staff that there was something wrong! I used to come here when my kids were younger, and the staff was attentive. Obviouly, a change in management and it's all gone to hell! I am never going back. If you are looking for typically bad service, go to La Restaurant la Boucherie!"

"We went there by chance during the canicule last week and as we fancied Asian food. The wonderful thing is that the restaurant is air conditioned and in the 37degree heat it was an oasis. The food was almost like home cooking. Simple, no frills, but very good rice, and the service was friendly and homely. I recommend this small, unpretentious restaurant. Very good value too!"
