"Having been here once before, I was excited to take my husband after spending time in Avila Beach. Online, closing was listed as 9 pm and I called to confirm but no one answered and the mailbox was full. Taking a chance, we got there at 8.15 and were advised that, because it was a slow night the manager decided to close early. Wait, what? Is that the new norm, that if it 's not packed the manager can arbitrarily close early? How about offering a reduced menu, closing off a section or two, or advising patrons that it was a slow night so limited staff, etc. but completely shutting down before advertised closing time? The waiter with whom we spoke first was also disappointed because duh turning people away is a lose/lose proposition (and he also said the food was really good). I did speak with the manager before leaving and he said, leave your name and next time I will give you a dessert, Well there won 't be a next time. We ended up spending $125 at Giuseppe 's instead, and won 't go back to 1865 on principle. I understand retail and the service industry and trying to manage expectations and people etc. But my biggest peeve is arbitrarily closing when people are counting on the online information to be accurate. And if you don 't want us to trust online, then answer the darn phone."

"I tried the chicken flat bread thing from the small meals menu and it was very good! The free bread was yummy and the olive oil dip was excellent. They lost my friends ticket so her salad took a long time to come out but they gave it to her no charge!"

"Hit or miss service (actually only one of four people we interacted with were up to par), but good hoppy hour deals. Roasted cauliflower was well seasoned, but served room temperature...on a mini skillet as tho it was a hot item lol. Burger was passable. Fries weren 't hot enough, nor was anything else come to think of it. Odd. The Old Fashioned was not well prepared."

"Stopped in San Luis Obispo for a night and was so happy to find Ziggy’s!! Avocado rolls, black bean taquitos and Ratchet Fries were to die for. Super friendly staff and food was ready quickly. Wish there was vegan food like this in Melbourne Florida!"

"Pretty good food! We ordered the southwest salad and a ribbed plate. The Southwest Dressing was tasteful, but strange runny. It didn't coat the salad well, so I asked for more, then the addition of ranch ended. It was delicious, but a thicker dressing would have put it on top! The ribs were extremely good and the honey butter for the corn cake was dying. The grain bread itself was so crooked that was delicious, but made it hard to eat with the butter. The baked potato was a bit hard, but the sweet potato friries were perfection! Funny how workers change the atmosphere. When we arrived there, we ordered a beer as it was my husband's birthday, and she was too young to serve it. She was short with us and no music was up. Halfway through food, there was a change and she put on music and you could say her demeanor was so much more friendly that when I asked for more dressing and she was so pleasant! If we didn't have to go somewhere, we would have ordered a beer and hanged out a little longer. Will definitely go back and try the Grover site!"
