"Lovely little cafe. Enjoyed their scrumptious carrot cake slice with an amazing cup of americano coffee. The male staff who attended to us was extremely obliging and all smiles. Good to sit and watch people walk by in the Hobart Grove center or just after buying groceries from Spar."

"Loved this place. Was there on Saturday night and DJ Knox was sublime. The old school music made me reminiscent of the days of my youth. The food was tasty, fresh and well balanced aesthetically. Service was excellent with a waiter who was so attentive to our needs. Thank you guys and keep it up"

"Fabulous hideaway spot in Bryanston just off Main road at the Garden Shop. <br/ Its outdoors and have a great vibe. Service is fast and friendly. <br/ The Vanilla Coffe as well as the Freezo counterpart are firm favourites. The cappuccino with cream isalso great as it is real cream. <br/ Try the French Toast for a yummy and filling breakfast. It comes with Mascarpone and berries and you can add some bacon for a decadent sweet and savoury taste. <br/"

"Estella's Bistro Cafe is a true gem that we initially thought that we were taking a gamble on. How could they be advertising such great specials at such low prices? So we decided to find out for ourselves. The decor and atmosphere greets your warmly, with beautiful hues of turquoise on the walls and ample comfortable seating. The menu offers choices from breakfast, burgers, pizzas, pastas and even a grill. There is a fully stocked bar on hand as well. The food itself was amazing. The hummus starter was like nothing I'd ever had before; hummus topped with black eyed peas and sauteed mushrooms, served in generous amounts with herbed ciabatta. The pizza (there is currently a special on, 2 pizzas for R100 in July) was fresh and delicious. The amount of meat on my Carne Pizza is what you'd expect from a big franchise, yet you never get. One of the highlights of Estrella's is the manager. A charming, attentive gentleman, who bends over backwards to ensure the customer is having a great experience. Estrella's Bistro is definitely an eatery that we are fast becoming regulars at."

"Try out the flourless almond chocolate cake which is delicious! I personally prefer the flourless cake to a normal, flour baked cake. Add a turmeric and ginger latte and you’ve got yourself a party of flavors waltzing on your tongue"

"25.07.2018 I attended the Saronsberg 'Wine on the Couch ' evening at Cafe Cru. Its the first time I 've managed to attend one of these events. Situated in The Pivot Hotel, at Montecasino it can be a bit tricky to find as its not part of the normal Monte section we are use to. It 's a lovely little spot, and quite a casual event. Miguel Chan, Tsogo Sun 's Group Sommelier along with Mandy Dewing from Saronsberg hosted the evening and gave us the lowdown on the various wines presented. I.e. did you know Tulbagh had an earth quake in 1969 hence the names 'seismic ' and 'earth in motion ' were used as names for their wines. Finger foods were served and what a delicious array of goodies to indulge in. From Stuffed Calamari, Sausage Rolls, Meat Skewers, Poppers, Mussel Soup, Tuna Tartlets. If you were more into something sweet there was Fruit sticks Marshmallows with a Chocolate dipping sauce, brownies, etc. They definitely outdid themselves everything was perfectly cooked and spiced. The wine was just as fabulous my favourite of course was the 'Earth in Motion ' its just light and crisp on the tongue. Such an easy drinking wine, followed by their Shiraz Rose. The other options on offer for the evening were the Sauvignon Blanc, Provenance Shiraz and Seismic and all were available to purchase to take home. If you are a keen wine lover they regularly do these wine evenings and they are reasonably priced.
