"Very helpful in menu planning, the delicious spread of foods that even the hard meat eaters got with enthusiasm, lots of food and wine, all served quietly (retain a first swallow with the place that was outside the control of the caterererer) and beautiful. I can't think of something that would have improved. Even the price was reasonable, given the quantity and quality."

"It's hard to get vegan options in the countryside in Devon. Most places rarely provide one option. I don't normally rate places with options but this I would absolutely recommend. The chef and staff seemed very keen on supporting vegans. They kept coming back and talking to me about the food and how to improve it. They have a few options on the menu and a vegan option for Sunday, including yorkshire puddings and gravy. I was so impressed I'll be sure to go back and would highly recommend them to vegans. One of best around! Unfortunately they're not open in the week, only Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for food. Updated from previous review on 2022-08-08"

"Come to the weekend to wellington! had this Indian Saturday went down to get it! the staff was friendly and chatting. eating was ineffective! really recommend the chicken chat peer and king prawn madras (it is spicy, but good spicy) really would really very much appreciated would come back 100%."

"Just called in on Fri 8/11/19 for a meal. the landlord was very accommodating and the food was to die for. I would rate this establishment as one of the best in the area. The only drawback was they only served bottled ale (although it was good local ales). will definitely be returning."
