"This is Barnacle Bills in name only. It’s now located inside a Holiday Inn lobby. Maybe a dozen tables with a small counter/bar area. There was one server in the place taking care of two couples on a Friday evening. The specials that night were pot roast and chicken parmigiana. When they were at the old location near the visitor center, they were a seafood restaurant, very busy, with plenty of seafood choices. I saw one shrimp entree on the menu. Don’t know what happened to this once great restaurant. Maybe what they serve is good, however it is not representative of the name Barnacle Bills, or it’s past menu. Needless to say, we did not order and went somewhere else."

"The last time we tried to eat here there was a 2 hour line. So we were smart and went early (around 5 pm). We were seated right away and had the nicest server. The drinks and food was spectacular. When one guest in our group found their dish to be too spicy the server immediately changed it out. The portions on the rice dishes were amazing. The crab cake entree was a little small in portion, but that is the only complaint from this fabulous Nee Orleans cuisine restaurant!"

"Great place! Dinner brought our dog last night and we are not disappointed! They had us sitting outside (of course) among the propane heaters (which was nice because it was cold). Started with a Sangria that were really good, not too strong and perfectly balanced fruit/wine ratio. We had the Calamari app they fried and were fresh. For a duck, I had the good bowl with chicken. It was essentially a rice dish with chicken and fruit, but it was really, really good. The chicken was grilled and had a little Char (which I love), and the rice mixed with the fruits was delicious and fresh. My girl had the coconut yarns that were really good and the frits were crisp and fresh. The food here is definitely great and would recommend everyone looking for a great place to eat in downtown St. Aug. They have a parking lot opposite their restaurant but can only park there if you eat there otherwise don't even think about it. It was also nice to enjoy the lights that are still displayed from the nights of the lights. Also forget to mention the waiter Tony really nice guy and was very attentive 100%. Come here."

"The shrimp had the perfect amount of spice--with a little kick to it. My husband had the shrimp and fried fish...superb! He really enjoyed. Service was excellent and people were friendly. We will definitely go back!"
