"Great room and breakfast included. It felt as though some of the staff were either highly stressed or doing roles they don't usually, competent but not considerate or welcoming. And the breakfast was nice to be included but sad to say my black pudding was badly burnt. Location is top notch, just have to put up with the church clock if you're in one of the road side rooms. Beautiful view of the churchyard Rooms: 5 Service: 3 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Romantic"

"We were three families a dog arriving unannounced at 1pm. Have you got tables? Yes, but not outside that will do! Even though we were three separate families, paying individually, they took the order as one and we paid separately. All food arrive together, impressive for 11 people! Food is very good. Portions perhaps on the large side so make sure you are hungry! A wide range of beers, lager and cider available."

"We had a good lunch! I had the lasagne, and my wife had the gammonsteak with egg and mushrooms. both were served hot and were perfect sizes. the prices were very reasonable and the staff was friendly. this restaurant/pub is not far from where we stay, so it can be a new favorite place!"
