"Just discovered that this cute little cafe has opened up in Takapuna. <br/ <br/ The bacon and egg quiche was very good, soft and creamy The little tomatoes in vinegar were the perfect touch. <br/ <br/ However, croissant was a bit dry. <br/ <br/ Friendly staff. Very attentive. A cosy place with lovely decor."

"This place is well hidden in a beautiful spot by the pump house theatre. So we had to really look for it after parking the car. We reached there before 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. Thats sort of peak lunch time on a sunny day. We get told that the kitchen was closed due to the rush and could not serve any mains. That was very dissapointing indeed. However, they were able to serve some really nice dessert crepes and coffee. Service was good. While this time we had to go away without lunch at lunchtime, we shall return again hoping to get some lunch or dinner here sometime in the future."

"Have been going to this Coffee shop for some time now. It greatly improved when Ace and Ada took over. the service and coffee and food were excellent. Was a little concerned when they decided to leave. However Kevin and David make excellent hosts and the food, coffee and service continue to the same high standard. The interior could do with a little refurbishment but the atmosphere is friendly. An excellent chef too."

"Visited for a second time for a Sunday brunch and it was as great as our first visit last year. Great location over the water at Birkenhead wharf in ferry building with good indoor or outdoor options. Almost hidden away and not well known. Great views over the water to the city and west really provides a great vista on a sunny day. We found the couple running the place to be very attentive and obliging. The menu is adequate and the quality of the meal presentation is almost at fine dining level. Over 2 visits we've now had the French toast, pancakes, corn fritters and smoked salmon and the food is great. Highly recommend this establishment and we will be returning."

"Pleasantly surprised by this little hidden gem. It's a little bit out of the way in a residential area but that doesn't stop it from being busy and bustling on Saturday morning. Theres a big shared table, a few smaller tables and also a couple of outdoor ones.<br/ <br/ I got the eggs bene and my friend got the scrambled eggs with chorizo as well as some cabinet goods. They have a huge range of baked goodies ill definitely be back to try!"
