"Came here for a long black and mochachino, and was relatively impressed with the taste, temperature and strength of the coffee (Atomic coffee beans, if anyone was curious). The cafe itself is a nice place but slightly open to the kitchen and not huge (fittings could be improved). Perhaps slightly understaffed too as tables weren't cleared so quickly. The salads in the cabinet looked fresh and tasty. Would recommend for drinks, but next time we will have them to-go. With the beachside so close, it's worth a short walk down to the water rather than sitting in the close, busy cafe. Other than that, Leaf and Loaf earns a good coffee rating. With Matt Knott"

"Very rare to go north shore, so I'm almost a total stranger to Takapuna. I take the chance to try this in my training lunch break as I am a big fan of Southeast Asian foods. Portion is somewhat smaller than others, so the price is cheaper. Pho $9.9 for small, $13.5 for big. My overall feeling is not bad. Beef disc pho is fresh, the broth is delicious. They are perfect for office people nearby to enjoy a quick and easy lunch without too much effort."

"Lovely food as always and we continue to come back here. Meals are a generous size and all the dishes have lots of meat which not a lot of other Asian style restaurants tend to have. There was only one waiter on, so service was a bit slow but we were brought a complementary entree to compensate for the fact our meals were going to take a little longer. Will definitely be back and would happily recommend it to others."

"Was here over the weekend with a group of 24. Most probably the best Valentines in the Auckland Region to date. We'd stopped doing the whole Valentines after some not so pleasant experiences. Food is a vast improvement from a few years ago, nice selections of spreads with steak cooked to your pref. and plenty of fresh seafood. At no time was there an empty tray with food topped up on the go. Service was really good and the staff very welcoming. Thanks for an enjoyable evening."
