"Called in for a coffee before going for a walk in the adjacent countryside. Very friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of seating inside (not dog friendly) and outside (dog friendly), with some of the outdoor seating being under cover in case it's raining. The coffee was good and, although we didn't have any food this time, we have on previous occasions and, then, the food was as good as the coffee."

"I visited this place for lunch with a friend. The weather was warm and sunny so we were able to enjoy our lunch in the pretty garden. The service was friendly and helpful. We both had sandwiches and cream teas, which were delicious and very fresh (regular and gluten free). Highly recommended"

"Always a pleasure to lunch here. Haven't tried evening as it's not local for us at Sandwich, but it's more convenient than Tenterden to meet friends from Uckfield and Eastbourne. Staff very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Arrive early and enjoy coffee in armchairs around the blazing wood burner while perusing the excellent menu. Just wish we had more friends!"
