"The food, especially their signature chicken noodle, is Thai Malaysia fusion.Soup could be a bit salty but once you add the lime, it becomes very saturated and natural?Shrimps in the Tom Yum soup we’re AWESOME, there are like 6 big white shrimps in a bowl, tasted very fresh, you gotta give it a try.Won’t recommend the shangHai wide noodle unless you enjoy the half cooked texture."

"Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of the food. But this was an amazing culinary experience. All the flavours were super balance. The textures and the quality of the ingredients were on point. The service was informal, fast and friendly. I think that was over priced but it was worth it, we got to eat outside. It was nice that the restaurant is not on the main street so we had a quieter experience and the portions were generous. So far this is the only restaurant in Vancouver that I have given a four star review for whatever that is worth. I will be going back to this place 100% for sure. I had the Shawarma and we had another bowl which I don’t recall with rice noodles that was really good too."

"Good noodles. I actually enjoyed the grilled salmon on rice even more, though. I've like my experience at other Santouka locations, but this one doesn't seem to have good service. Coupled with a basic environment means this place doesn't compete well with other great, similar restaurants on the same block."

"Concept is simple, you choose from a selection of styles - which basically means the broth is different, but the vegetables are pretty much the same for all types. The noodles may also be different (some have yam noodles, others plain noodle). We ordered shabu shabu and sukiyaki. The former was a very simple piece of seaweed (konbu) in water, the latter a more sweet umami broth. Greens, mushrooms (enoki), carrots, onion. The harder veg goes in first, after the water/broth comes to a boil. Then the meat (choice of beef or pork) followed by the softer vegetables, which don't require much time to cook..scoop out and enjoy, don't forget to sip the broth after! Served with a bowl of rice, and an appetizer of seaweed salad (tasted like the Costco brand), finished off with your choice of flavoured ice cream, we went for the green tea. Sign on the counter says no tipping, hot pots roughly $16 each including the condiments mentioned. Quick and healthy. Service was friendly and helpful."

"Try the green chicken curry with the thai eggplant best we've ever tasted for green curry! Had it two nights in a row last week... Haven't tried much else on the menu yet, it's hard to break away from the usual pad thai and green curry, but I imagine it's all tasty."
