"Absolutely love Coast! From the hostesses who saved a perfect table for us to the great food, impeccable prompt service to being sheltered just off the boardwalk it was a perfect warm Sunday afternoon lunch. I had the salmon plate and my husband had a scrumptious Bloody Mary and eggs Benedict. Couldn’t have been better. Just needs more parking other than valet."

"Lovely setting. We had a window table with gorgeous view of Santa Monica beach for a late Christmas brunch. Service was exceptionally slow. No one checked to refill water we had to flag someone for help. First course appetizers were served in about 30 minutes. Main entree finally arrived after one hour. One of our orders was completely wrong and when corrected, the meal had clearly been sitting under warming lights as the Hollandaise sauce had congealed on the eggs. We requested that entree be replaced with a freshly cooked one; the replacement was good. One side dish with the other entree was barely lukewarm and was replaced with a hot dish that seemed to have been microwaved. By this time our waiter realized that we had received poor service so he comp’ed our second bottle of water, offered complimentary coffee and brought an extra dessert. Nice try but did not make up for such poor service for a special Christmas outing. We were among the last seatings for brunch service so the dining room was not completely full when we arrived and had few tables occupied by the time we finished."

"Start the DineLA. We chose the prefix menu. All the dishes were delicious. Was there to celebrate a birthday. Wanted candle in dessert, but it wasn't done. The waiter was very busy. Long breaks between courses and start and close. It was 2 1/2 hours. We enjoyed being together, but it was a long time. Very recommend this restaurant and will definitely return a favorite!"

"This place is a must if you like well made, thoughtful, lively and fresh dishes. Everything we ordered was very good. The sandwiches, the salad, toast, cookies All! We were blown with the articles and so very satisfied with their customer service. They were so sweet that my son offers a small sample of their delicious bread while we were in the line. Then we returned later in the afternoon to go further snacks, they reminded us and threw an additional snack on the house. No cheap place, but definitely the price for us made dishes."

"Fantastic dinner with fantastic help. We enjoyed a seafood platter which was a little over price and we had a new dish which was a Mediterranean sea bass baked in salt. The Seabass was fantastic."

"The only place in a block that had food too late needed a girl the mozzarella sticks and the Buffalo wings. I loved the James Dean wall and the environment in General was very casual and covered. Great for a date night after a long day on the beach."

"Unfortunately, we had a below average experience on my birthday visit.I reserved a table for 3 at 6pm via Resy. When we arrived, the hostess asked are you celebrating a birthday . I was surprised and asked how did he find out about it? Then the hostess responded that it's probably through Resy system. I responded it's interesting what data is gathered through the system And he asked impatiently, so is this for your birthday or no I said, yes, it's my birthday. So, the night started strangely, but whatever.While we were chatting and eating our appetizers, one busboy came over and asked if we finished the dishes, even though there are still food in the serving plate. Another 5 min or so, another busboy came by and asked if he could remove our plates. So quickly split up the remaining appetiziers and let him remove the plate from our table.After we finished our meal, the waiter came over and provided us dessert menu. I want to say in 2-3 min, the waiter came by and asked something like do you want a dessert or your check And, in case you were wondering, it was only 7:05pm and the place was half empty. I really don't understand why are they rushing us to finish and leave.Oh, by the way, remember that the hostess asked if we were celebrating my birthday? Well, I'm not sure why he asked because we didn't receive anything, not even a Happy birthday from anyone.Appetizers were great and tasty. We weren't so impressed with their main dishes. Dessert was great. But due to their service, I wouldn't recommend this place and not sure why it earned a Michelin star."
