"Pathetic. They charge extra for fries which would be acceptable if they were made in house like the menu says. I can assure you that the house fries are from a Sysco box. The burgers were subpar at best, you’d be better off at BK. My friend and I were seated and we happened to be the only people in the restaurant. The place definitely seems to have a strong delivery/takeout emphasis, which is not a problem until the customers dining in experience poor service."

"We came for a happy hour as it was recommended as one of the top in dc for a Sunday. we were slow and missed happy hour, but are so glad we left. we have spit from the Natural History Museum to here and it was worth it. the drinks were delicious and the food was fabulous. we had the thun fishtar, steak fries and local greens. we finished with the vanilla cream brûlée with Rhabarb-compot. that was delicious. my friend is on a low fodmap diet and they did a great job that didn't hit a wobble and garlic restriction. I would recommend bar charley to everyone."

"Are there twice. The Irish Stew and Fish and Chips are both excellent. I don't usually drink beer, but thought I should give it a try with the stew, so had a Guiness, which was delicious. Sat outside both times- that was very nice and got to enjoy the church bells chiming across the street. Service was friendly with perfect timing throughout the meal."

"We were there during Happy Hour and the noise from the bar spilled over the entire room. We both ordered the steak salad which was generous and excellent. Ellen's piece of carrot cake could have fed the whole family we split the rest of it the next night after dinner"

"Stans was a great experience especially because of my waitress Thanh! She was very fast, literally brought our drinks within a minute. The atmosphere is great. Plenty of seating and 90s R&B vibes on a Friday night. Truly a speakeasy. One drink alone will have you good."
