"I have been visiting this restaurant whenever I find myself in DC over the past few years, and I must say that I am consistently impressed by the high quality of the food. The portions are generous and the prices are quite reasonable, especially when compared to other restaurants in the area. The flavors are always spot-on, and the service is top-notch. I look forward to many more visits in the future!Vegetarian options: At the restaurant, there are a variety of delicious vegetarian options to choose from. "This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate on his own initiative. We will come back in any case."

"Located on historic U Street and a popular after club spot. They just opened a Ben's Lounge directly next door if you are more interested in a sit down, intimate, and sophisticated feel. Pros: open later than anything else (til 4am I think); lots of pics of celebs who visited; still feels like a down home spot despite its popularity; good food Cons: almost always crowded no matter what day or time."

"My husband and I spent a week in DC and came across this restaurant. We went back seven times and we only had three days left by the time that we had found this wonderful place. The hotdogs were very flavorful, cooked perfectly and the sauce was the best I have ever tasted. If you want a good dog do not miss Frank Stein."
