"Zero stars. Do not recommend. This is regarding the nightclub inside the deli. Terrible experience. We spent money in food at the deli. Spent money in drinks at the bar in the nightclub. They made us leave our drink there without finishing it. This place is terrible. Do not recommend the nightclub. The security guards bang on the bathroom doors when we were not in there for more than 3 minutes. The security guards there touch women, push and shove women. They made us feel very uncomfortable. A bartender was upset about not getting attention from one of us and he alerted the security guards to make us leave. We proceeded to tell the manager, and she completely disregarded our complaint. The manager did not care about what she saw and it was right in front of her eyes. If you are a group of women, do not go to this place. It’s not worth it."

"All vegan options with deli-style ordering. We tried the jackfruit Philly cheesesteak and the beet burger and both were soooo good! The bread was fresh and soft, and this was the closest imitation to a Philly cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The beet burger was moist and delicious with a cabbage slaw on top. There are a million other things I would try on this menu! ETOP: went back twice since and tried the meatball sub, chickn parm, and potato skins (all excellent). The chickn club was so-so, as was the fritter sandwich. Casual café by day turns into full-on restaurant and vegan bar at night. Updated from previous review on 2022-08-21"

"More than just a sandwich shop, this place is a top notch dc favorite dinner also with philly cheese steaks on the menu. I was thrilled by the fresh ingredients to say real aromen and generous portions that this is a real juwel. if you have to wait, it's because everyone else wants. Bonus tip: closed on Monday but open on Saturday! when they are in the city, then they get something from the quality."

"So, my wife and I had just landed in DC, moving across country to an unknown city and, upon arrival, were sad to realize that English basement apartments are not what they seem from the outside (thats what you get for renting sight unseen in DC). We were horrified, dare I say distraught, at our new dwelling (700 Sqft). As we walked around our new neighborhood in an effort to calm ourselves, we happened accross the bar accross the street. From that day until the day we left DC, Bread Soda was a haven for us to relax and unwind after a stressful day. We have fond memories of playing pool/darts with friends and gathering a team for Trivia night. Great drinks, good food and nice people. I definitely recommend them."

"The Italian sub was a great price under $7 and it was delicious. I got my bread toasted with Italian seasoning and a pretty much everything on it.It was very filling and a perfect lunch meal for me on the go. It was a bit of a wait but we’ll worth it a lot of people come here."

"Really good bagels! I ordered a bagel sandwich (the bacon sun city) which I loved especially with the spicy honey. I also got a cold brew, and a dozen bagels with cream cheese pint. Overall it was quite pricey for dozen bagels but everything was truly delicious. I’d definitely come back here, no questions."
