"The meat is really well-cooked and if you ask, you can get Qabuli Pilao (buttery rice cooked with raisins and carrots). It's super bare bones and I wouldn't get a salad, but it's one of the best values around."

"I just visited Utopia for the second time last weekend and was fairly pleased with my experience. My first visit I enjoyed a shrimp appetizer and salad – let me rephrase that – I enjoyed the shrimp, but the salad was less than amazing. The lettuce was in poor shape and it appeared much like a caffeteria salad, with only one tomato, a few carrot shavings and a piece of onion. It also came out almost seconds after I ordered it, leading me to believe it had just been sitting there and was not freshly tossed. The shrimp, however, was well spiced and cooked. I even ordered seconds of it. I also ordered the crab cakes from their small plates options. The crab was okay, the consistency was a bit too creamy than I like, I prefer to have mine more chunky to enjoy the crab more than the addatives. My second visit was better. My guests and I ordered the linguini with scallops, the chef’s suggestion (yes, that’s what it’s called), the jambalaya and the ny strip. The scallops dish was typical but delicious with it’s simple garlic sauce and good amount of meat, the jambalaya was well done and my only warning regarding the chef’s suggestion entree is that the andouille sausage is much spicier than most andouille I’ve had before. I liked it, but some people at my table found it a bit harsh. Lastly, the ny strip was disappointing. I requested it be cooked medium, but it was definitely well done and spices were lack luster. I think they hid it in a mediocre sauce with shrimp to hide that the cut of meat wasn’t great either. We ordered two bottles of wine which were out of stock, but the waiter helped us find something else that we were happy with. His forced use of calling us “friends” in his French accent got a little old, but he gave satisfactory service. All in all, I would return, just never to order the ny strip or salad again."

"I finally ordered something other than breakfast. I got the beef bibimbap and it was great. It is completely LOADED with veggies, and the beef was plentiful as well. It came with a miso soup and the woman showed me how to do it (not sure why I was confused, my own fault) and showed me the toppings I could add which was really nice. She also packed it really nicely for me and added utensils and extra sauce for me when I said it was actually to go. It tasted amazing, and the miso was really good as well with a lot of tofu in it. I went back another time and got bibimbap with tofu which was also plentiful and just delicious. God I love this place."

"I moved to Arlington recently, and have been trying out different Kabob restaurants. Between the four I've been to, this one has easily been my favorite. So far, I've had the lamb and seekh kabob plates, and both were fantastic. The meat was delicious, with a nice blend of seasonings, and the portions were great. But, what sets this place apart from the others, is the rice, the naan bread, and the lentils and chickpeas that come with the plate. The rice at other restaurants often felt like it was missing something, and the side dishes were usually just a small side salad or soup. The prices are extremely fair for the amount, and the quality of the food you are getting. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys a great kabob plate, and a filling meal. And, while I have yet to try them, I am sure that their sandwiches, and other dishes are good as well. Finally, the owner is very friendly, and works hard to accommodate his guests."

We ordered hamburger and fries the couple we were with they never got there meal. It was soup and crab cake. I will not recommend this restaurant to other."
