"What can I say about Salt and Pepper Grill? Amazing food, wonderful, warm, gentle, inviting and kind customer service! The atmosphere inside is very homely, modest and humble! The large windows outlooking the busy streets add to the atmosphere! Nowlet 's get down to the nitty, gritty ; the food! Me and my wife have been to Salt and Pepper twice now and the first time Iordered the Goat Biryani and the portions for the price were unbelievable or better yet unbeatable! This second time around, meand my wife ended up ordering the Butter Chicken each and let me tell you, the Butter Chicken was the perfect consistency ofrichness, and thickness! We also ordered each one extra Naan to dip in the Butter Chicken and it was the perfect floury cherryon top! The oil was still dripping off of the Flour Nann, it was warm and crispy! We will be back! This will be a staple placefor me and my wife as we are lovers of Indian Cuisine."

"Great food! I've always loved the dish that is similar to butter chicken. The only thing I order every time. Bartenders there are awesome and know some sign language. Makes it even better!!"

"I’ll say it. DC’s best Indian! I’ll admit, it’s probably because it’s Indian/Pakistani. I’ve tried the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala... both dense in flavor and layered. Not watery at all. Love that they always include chana masala (chick peas. The beef Samosas are a must try. The highlight though are the vegetable pakoras... the best I’ve ever had. My only wish is that they had some beef curries (Nehari maybe). To date the only place I’ve found with beef curries was in Texas, but one can hope."

"This place is a hole in the wall, but serves some of the best Indian food in the city. I had the lamb dogs, goats, and lamb saag and all were fantastic. lamb was perfectly cooked and the servier sizes are generous. the garlic is filled and crispy. I will be here regularly."
