We did not have a reservation as this was a last minute find for us: driving in from Galveston. Guess what: they were happy to accommodateKudos to Hope our waitress: kind, sweet and just beautiful as they come, and knowledgeable of the menu!!Love love the history of the building. This is one of many reasons that I LOVE TEXAS!On to dessert and after dinner drinks! Can hardly wait.....PS. Shout out to the manager for stopping by to let us know about the dumpling special. "The doves nest is fucked in the shop/boutique of the same name. many seating, but a beautiful cozy bistro/café vibe mixed with rustic charm. all staff were very nice and helpful. the food was made to order and came out quite quickly. the prices were decent for the quality of food. I had the ham and jam that was very tasty. all the elements worked well together. highly recommended. the other photo show is the club panini and it was stacked with the cut truthahn. I have the chips for the suppe of the day, that was white chili chicken. it was good, but the sandwiches were 10x better. the only ice cream they had was a spiced orange. it was not bad, but I personally think it would work better than a warm tee. yet a decent drink and worth a try, only wish I had another option. everything in all it is a beautiful place with great people and even better eating."

"This place is wasted! Why did the management decide that it was a good idea to replace actual plates with styrofoam that you used containers?! it is lazy, especially when the price of a base sandwich is $8. really discouraging to see a business in waxahachie so unethical, they do better. I will not come back until they change their business practices."

"Good service, had fish and chips, fish delicate and cooked perfectly with a crispy light batter coating that could have used a little spiciness. The IPA on tap was excellent and happy. Like to see them offer a veggie entree also. Atmosphere is friendly and not too noisey."

"Oh boy where do start. Order cornbread skillet never got it no explanation Bread roll had a baked fly in it no apology or fresh ones. Country fried steak steak wasn?t fresh. Order chicken sandwich got a chicken fried steak instead. Meatloaf never had it with sticky sauce before definitely not coming back. Management no where to be count restaurant is ran by high schoolers.literally no one ate the food ."
