"Good starters. Sketchy steaks ordered 4 fillet and 1 rump special chewy and dry 3 5 of them. One was so tough gristly we had to send back. Great staff and service and hence the 3rd star. Eat here if you don't have an option feeling lazy else better options in town."

"Friendly staff, decent steak (don't expect real wagyu), and not crowded. Skip the £6 dessert; we ordered the strawberry tart and were warned it was small. It was maybe 4 bites each for the two of us and nothing to write home about."

"This restaurant is located in the DoubleTree by Hilton, York hotel. The food was good but what followed was disappointing and spoiled our evening as DoubleCharge might be a more appropriate name. They charged my credit card twice for our meals and when I insisted on an immediate refund they told me it was impossible (yeah, right! . In a hail of implausible excuses I was sent away to sort the problem out myself with my bank. That 's no way to treat your customers."

"Came for Women’s World Cup Pub was packed Denise found us 2 chairs so we could watch the game had a query and asked Pex which between them it was sorted with no hassle..spoke to Helen who was lovely can’t fault these lady’s..fantastic service and hospitality and made a lovely day..compliments to the chef had breakfast and afternoon lunch and totally enjoyed everything. A massive well done to everyone that worked today A"
