"I, Elizabeth, left a review on their Facebook page and since, they've disabled reviews, after giving me a very unprofessional response. I order the NY (New Years) special and left a review the DAY AFTER going there. Got home and parts of the order were both missing AND incorrect. Cornbread instead of roll, and no fat back, which I paid extra for. I had also ordered the ribs, and it was sliced up pork chops with bbq sauce on them. We had ordered 3 adult plates and everyone agreed, it wasn't ribs, and was IN FACT pork chops. They were extremely dried out, overcooked and weren't even edible. It was a complete waste of money and how this establishment choose to handle it, was disheartening. They tried everything to claim they never had ribs, then to say something about steaks, when this was over their NY special containing ribs. Steaks were never mentioned, and neither was New York cooking. New Years (NY) special, pork chops, fat back, and ribs. Save your money and go elsewhere."

"We stopped by this restaurant while going to the Black Wall Street event this Saturday. The food was incredible!! We had lamb chops, chicken wings, and the fried fish sandwich. The sides were mac and cheese and broccoli. The food was hittin', the place was clean, and the service was top-notch!"

"The food was amazing! I had the basa which was the best fried fish I've ever eaten seasoned to perfection not too salty. The macaroni and cheese and collard greens were delicious omg and the corn bread oh and I cannot forget the lemonade was so delicious it taste just like cheesecake factory lemonade which is my fave I will definitely be going back! So glad I don't have to drive to the bay area to get my soul food fixed."

"Located in the 5901 Commons building, this place is a diamond in a haystack. Passing in front of it on the second floor you may get the impression is just an ordinary food place. But THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE CASE! The food is AMAZING, always fresh, always perfectly cooked. From the presentation to the taste, this place is definitely the best hole in the wall I've eaten at. This quaint little place has the most amazing salads, sandwiches and smoothies!!! You need to check it out yourself to understand just how good it is."
