Visitors appreciate its nostalgic ambiance and extensive selection of ales. However, experiences vary; while some guests praise the hospitable staff and delicious food, others express disappointment over lackluster dishes and steep prices. The bustling atmosphere, particularly during Sunday lunch, leads to occasional shortages on the menu, and some patrons find the service less accommodating. Despite mixed reviews, this historic pub remains a beloved gathering spot, drawing both locals and those revisiting fond memories of their youth in this quaint South London enclave.
Basic pub scrub well made at an affordable price. relaxed atmosphere. ideal for a chilled Sunday dinner. Very good.
To say, I am still over the fish n chips we at the crown and greyhound is an understatement. it is up there with the one and a half bratkartoffel that I got on the bullen on the upper street. dulwich village is, as it is called, a village. a small piece of the land firmly settled in south london. a beautiful place that reminds me a lot of basing, where I spent my teens out of my head, in a so quiet place to hold. Now I'd give my right arm to live somewhere similar. not much happens in dulwich, so I'm sure everyone who lives there wants it. the krone and greyhound is the heart of this picturesque south of London...more
Love this place. Found out about it in summer when looking for a good beer garden and omg it won't disappoint. Since then I've been with my boyfriend, work mates, parents and they've literally got something for everyone. If you want a really good Sunday lunch this is the place to book! The guys who work here are so lovely and we always feel really well looked after
I recently went to this pub with some friends for food and drinks. The atmosphere was great, especially the lovely garden area. The service was also excellent!
Chef specials were phenomenal. My children, both particularly fussy eaters, devoured everything. Extensive wine selection featuring the wonderful E. Guigal, Côte-Rôtie certainly makes this somewhere we will consider for future special occasions.
