This restaurant is highly praised for a good reason. My dining companion and I enjoyed the pig dinner special, which was enough for both of us. The pig was delicious, the sides and toast were excellent. The baked beans were outstanding. We also loved the variety of delicious sauces that were provided. View all feedback.
What Jefferson Burk doesn't like about Smokin D's Bbq:
I visited this restaurant yesterday. My wife went inside to place our order while I went to the restroom. When I entered, I saw a short bald man behind the counter behaving inappropriately towards my wife. To avoid any confrontation, I decided to leave. When we got back to our place, we realized that some of our food was missing from the bag. The food we did receive was good, but I was disappointed that we didn't rec... View all feedback.
Great bbq. They don't have plate so you eat on a piece of paper. Interesting concept but it was
Our Cockatoo Rosy loved the food so did we. It was delicious we'll be back again soon ?️ ?
They are very friendly but with nowhere to sit inside and a very windy day outside we did not enjoy our meal at all. Food was cold in a blink. Sauces are awful to us. Brisket was dry, ribs were bland. Turkey was flavorful though. Coleslaw and potato salad were good. Baked beans tasted like 2 different canned beans mixed together. We will not go back. Woodpeckers, Bearded Pig and Bonos are far better in our opinion
We were greeted by a friendly face at the window which seemed reassuring however the food was pretty lack luster. Now I understand the fact that we came as they were closing could not guarantee us top quality but this was still hands down the worst bbq we have ever had.Rice and other sides were not available so we got beans chopped pork sandwiches. The meat itself is just Ok nothing terrible nor very appealing . It’s served on an awkward Texas toast and served with your choice of 3 God awful bbq sauces. This seems to be the real issue- all of the sauces were lacking flavor beyond just plain heat or a pungent off taste.Beans were 3/5 not bad but not my preference of spices. What really set the tone was a customer asking a worker if he could just pee on the building ? seriously My family went to leave and we were greeted by a poor excuse for a human being exposing himself alongside the small building in the walkway .The staff did nothing about this. The eating area consisted of several giant logs with uneven and un-level stumps to sit on that are in no way close or movable. also crawling with ants and other insects We had driven way off course from the highway on our way home to try this place and I deeply regret not just going to the Wendy’s we had passed. Hubby ending up just eating at the gas station instead .
Texan BBQ standards might be different from Florida standards, but this was undoubtedly the worst BBQ I've had. I assumed pork sandwich meant pulled pork. But this was totally unseasoned, cold in the middle, taste like it was just raw and cooked in a microwave. Almost feel pranked. If not for the tiny thing of sauce, this would have had zero flavor whatsoever.
