But tonight? Tonight was truly exceptional! The pernil was crispy, tender, and juicy, with delicious spices. The yuca was perfect, and I absolutely love the green lime sauce. I’m not sure what it’s actually called, so I refer to it as the green lime sauce, but whatever its name, it’s amazing. The yuca was beautifully soft, yet crispy, with caramelized edges that were perfectly chewy.

What Yanet Rivera doesn't like about La Gran Via:
The service was slow; we waited about half an hour to be served, and the waitress never came to check on us, even though the restaurant wasn't full. I won’t be returning. The food was just average. View all feedback.
The best authentic Cuban food. The owners are always polite. The prices are great. For 25 years. Love it.
Just went in for a quick meal. The food was good for what we ordered, with reasonable prices
I?ve been ordering from here for the past 6 years and they have NEVER EVER let me down!!! They are AL AYS on point, consistent, and have the best customer service around. They speak Spanish but also speak very good English. They always get my order right and I do not speak Spanish. But tonight?? Tonight was exceptional!! The pernil was crispy, tender, and juicy with delicious seasoning. The yuka was PERFECT I love the green lime sauce. I don?t know what its proper name is so I call it the green lime sauce, whatever it?s called, it?s delicious. Nice and soft but crispy and chewy caramelized edges. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a amazing meal at a super excellent price. ??????????????
LA GRAN VIA. A CUBAN CUSINE THAT IS ALL TASTY AND SALUDABLE . Our meal started with warm bread and butter, then I ordered the Surf and Turf which consisted of large shrimps and skirt steak which is called in Spanish Churasco, medium well is how I like it. On the side came an order of tasty yellow rice with red beans and a choice of sweet plantains. My partner had the red snapper with rice and shrimp mixed in. The meal was great, and I spent about $88 and an added gratuity, Oh by the way, at the end of the meal I had a Cafè con Lechè, it was strong and had a great coffee taste to it. So if you would like some great Cuban food and you find yourself on Bergenline Ave in Union City, N.J. Then check out the Gran Via.
Went there yesterday skimpy portions and tasted very acidic and bland. Waste of money and time. Look for real food elsewhere. This a photo of the food i bought.
