Christmas lights always make a place look inviting, in my opinion. And walking into this pub was just like that. The bar woman was sour this Sunday visit, but oh well. We didn't eat, but food on tables nearby looked very nice. View all feedback.
What Kate doesn't like about Brewers Arms:
I highly recommend this restaurant! I have dined at the Brewers Arms numerous times and have never had a bad experience. Whether it's their delicious steak on Thursday steak nights or their incredible Korean chicken burger, the food is always top-notch. Their pizzas on selected nights are also outstanding. The pub has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, making it a must-visit spot in the village. It truly is a gem. View all feedback.
First time eating dinner here and definitely won’t be the last ! Knocks the socks of the other 2 eating establishments in Herstmonceux by a country mile, food cooked perfectly, including the 10oz rump steak that was perfectly cooked and rested before serving, the chicken and chorizo kebab served with theatrical style was equally amazing, as a Michelin trained chef myself it’s always difficult to eat out and not “moan” but nothing to moan about here, would recommend 100%, the amazing front of house staff and superb Malbec sealed a swift return soon !
My partner and I came in for a Chateaubriand for a special occasion. It was by far the best steak I’ve had in years! It was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and was the same consistency of pick all the way through, no over cooked grey on the edges like I’ve had before elsewhere. Is came with a massive portion of fries, lovely dressed side salad and 2 sauces of your choose. Honestly it melted in my mouth! I’ve eaten a few times at the brewers arms and have always walked away very happy with the value, but also the service as well. All the staff are so friendly! I look forward to my next visit!
Visited the Brewers whilst on holiday nearby. What a beautiful pub. The staff and owners welcomed you like they would old friends. The food is cooked fresh and there is enough on your plate to satisfy the most hungriest of visitors. It's also reasonably priced. We drank there on several evenings and ate there twice. Food is served Wednesday to Sunday and the choice of the menu and also the specials board is enough to keep you pondering for a while. The 2 occasions that we dined here I chose the Wagu Burger from the specials board. It came with fries, and a small salad on the plate. The burger was beautifully cooked and was flavoursome. My wife had the tuna steak with an Asian dressing, again cooked to perfection. On the second occasion we ordered a large meat feast pizza along with a side of haloumi fries and a small salad. Once again the meal was enjoyable and the pizza to large to eat in one sitting, relying on a takeaway box so we could enjoy the rest later. All in all a great experience in a proper local pub. We will definitely return when we come back to the area in the future.
We visited the Brewers arms whilst staying in the area. An extremely friendly and well run establishment with a lovely atmosphere. I chose the fresh tuna with Asian dressing which I have to say…..was cooked perfectly,so often tuna is overcooked and dry. So well done chef! The dressing was amazing and I asked for more! My husband had the mussels with chorizo which he thoroughly enjoyed. Would not hesitate to recommend and if we lived closer this would be a regular haunt for us. A lovely evening and lovely food thank you
My wife and I visited the Brewers Arms yesterday for lunch and found it to be a really lovely pub. Good parking, nice decor, nice atmosphere, good selection of beers and comfy seats. Straightforward menu, with some good vegetarian options. My wife had the mountain...
